Silent Heroes Student Award 2023
Congratulations to Shena Tan Qing (Sec 4F) on receiving the inaugural Singapore Silent Heroes Student Award!

The Silent Heroes Award is a national award that recognises everyday Singaporeans and permanent residents for their extraordinary humanity and compassion towards people, causes, and mission. This year, the Silent Heroes Student Award was launched to recognise students who have selflessly dedicated themselves to improve the lives of others.

Shena had her first experience volunteering at a nursing home in primary school. Having been brought up by her grandmother since young, Shena discovered that she could interact well with the elderly without feeling awkward. In Sec 2, she decided to volunteer at NTUC Health (Tampines) Nursing Home as she finds joy in spending time with the elderly. Shena was a befriender and event planner for the residents. She started the Rummikub programme, conducted games such as Six Bricks, and also hosted a Christmas celebration and a string painting workshop at the home.

Shena loves seeing how happy the residents are whenever she turns up, and hopes to continue volunteering in the future, and even explore a career in the social services.

Well done Shena! Continue to spread love and compassion, and be a blessing to others around you!

Congratulations to Joey and Raine!
Our heartiest congratulations to our two aspiring composers, Joey and Raine, for achieving an Honourable mention in the 2021 SYF Song-writing Youth Station Project (Lower Secondary Category)! Joey and Raine are two good friends who discovered a knack for putting words and music together. In composing a song for their Sec 1 end-of-year music assignment last year, they discovered the joy of sharing their feelings through music. Check out what they have to say about their song!

Anglican High School 65th Anniversary
In celebration of Anglican High School's 65th Anniversary, various stakeholders came together and made it to the Singapore Book of Records by setting a record for the largest montage of face masks.

We were privileged to have our Guest of Honour Mr Lawrence Wong, Minister of Education and the Second Minister for Finance, gracing this record-setting event where he personally penned his well wishes for the school on a face mask before pinning it onto the montage.

庆祝圣中创校65周年
为庆祝圣中创校65周年，不少师生、校友、家长支援团、历届校长以及董事会代表齐聚圣中大礼堂，用口罩拼凑了本地最大幅的口罩图像，在《新加坡纪录大全》中缔造一项新纪录，写下光辉的一页。
我校有幸邀请教育部长兼财政部第二部长黄循财先生担任本次活动的嘉宾。部长在口罩上写下祝语，并亲自将其扣在图像上。此项活动让来自各界的圣中大家庭成员叙旧，回首65年来的光辉岁月，意义非凡。
